A happy little altar with the drink of choice of my pagan Viking ancestors. Mead. From Redstone Meadery in Boulder. I’ll probably drink it around a bonfire, while the prettiest snow I’ve seen in three winters in a row floats down around us.Edit: Just FYI, the flag is the background is from the region in which I taught this year. I spent my first winter solstice in June in La Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena.

Drink a shot for me please…awesome photo.
Wonderful post, and enjoy that snow! I’m down in Santa Fe, and we’re supposed to get more tomorrow.
Love the image. Drink some mead for me. 🙂 And Happy Solstice!
